Canterbury 与 Lisgar 比较，是不是 Canterbury的academic 没有 Lisgar 强呀？ 他们的艺术科目占得比例多一些。如果以琴类进入该校的话，academic会弱一些吧？不懂，所以拿出来请教！！先谢谢啦！

It is all about the kids and their future university choice.

If the kids wanted to or if you want kids to go to ivy league school or stanford/MIT/oxford/cambridge, the more challenged academic program(IB or AP) will help. Also you have to have good ECs for US schools. Otherwise, if stay in canada for university, in my opinion, high school makes no big difference.
Find a high school close to home and encourage kids to be involved more in school activities and ECs.

In ottawa, colonel by is the only OCDSB school offering IB and you have to apply to be admitted.
Ashbury also offer IBs, you will pay lots of money attending ashbury, but the kids will also have many good EC opportunities.

Many schools offer AP, but most only offer a few courses. But if the kids want, AP course can be self-studied and they can apply to take the test.

Lisgar offers AP courses that kids can take to challenge themself.
Cantebury does not offer AP, but it is good on arts.

Lisgar 的学生数理质量高很多。如果你孩子顶尖就去Lisgar ，否则就去Canterbury。这样孩子可以学点艺术还可能轻松点。

你的小孩子如果上不了Gifted Program， 还是不要去Lisgar了。Ottawa还有几所不错的高中，Earl of March HS，Nepean HS，都是很不错的。

Earl of March HS的排名，在Lisgar之前。有点意外吧？
