这篇文章指出的潜规则是我某个观点的依据之一：FI实际上成为某种形式的择校。学习跟不上的，父母不上心的，家庭环境较差的会被逐步换到英文的那边，剩下的可以享受较好的同学群体。

唯一不同的是我对孩子的中文持悲观态度，属放任自流派（中文学校还是坚持送的）。。。主要是拗不过环境。。

当然，没有看到我那＂放任自流＂被批么。我也说过，精通双语可以做到GG的位置。



其实，英语和法语，选择哪个语言为主都没错，关键是两种语言中得有一个过硬的。千万可别两种语言都是半瓶子醋。



在加拿大讨论汉语学习，请勿套用我们自己当年学汉语的经验。这里没有那个语言环境。

看到你前面说的了。。你说的很含蓄。。用的是择校，这正是中文的博大精深。。

FI影响中国孩子的英文水平到什么程度，确实是家长们关心和担心的。不赞成FI的ID们列出来的例子，目前看来说服力不够。

如果你希望从这个网络讨论里找到有说服力的证据，可能太高估这个帖子了。大家都没有大量的data，只能从身边看到的少数实例来推理而已。有个妈妈引用一些data进行了对比，其实有一些说服力，但是肯定不能算是conclusive evidence。

而且即使真有专家想研究这个问题，这样结论（有可能）会引起重大争议的研究，估计也很难从政府那里拿到funding。

应该不会有哪个把孩子送到FI的家长看了这个帖子里的例子就把孩子真的从FI该送到regular English program的。

但是如果这个帖子能让一些家长在课余时间更重视加强孩子的英语读写能力，这个帖子也就算是很有意义了。

我觉得坚持每天晚上讲半小时中文故事比送中文学校强。后者就是瞎耽误工夫。
