网友，就是在互联网上的朋友，是一种从没见过面，只通过网络相识，交流，交往的朋友，是虚拟世界的朋友。网友之间互相不知道对方在现实世界的ID，所以也不能有除网络之外的任何联系。friends on Space, friends on Facebook, friends on CFC.， 都是网友的一种。

网友的一个特殊之处，就是不见面，不知道彼此的真实ID和联系方式。见面之后就不再能称为网友了。
