唉,真是一个confusing 的早晨!昨天跟单位打好招呼,如果学校关门,今天就work from home;可是到了今早,又弄出个“送学校也行”的可能,让人挠头。
看CBC的报道,多伦多教育局才糟糕呢。昨天说的信誓旦旦,不管Labor board (OLRB)什么ruling都关门,今天早晨却临时变卦了,而且是10分钟之内180度转弯,窘迫之态毕现。相比之下,咱村的OCDSB 昨天拖到8pm才做决定,今天坚持大门不开的既定方针,又开个小门给自己以回旋余地,感觉还是更稳妥成熟一点。
工会的态度是要求老师们现在 comply to the OLRB ruling. 我觉得这也许是现在最合适的态度了。Bill 115 是否 unconstitutional,有待于court decision;在此之前,把会员置于“非法”之境,又有胁迫公众之嫌,从DNA上讲不是这个工会肯干的事。所谓“秀才造反”嘛,教师的身份,毕竟不同于那些传统意义上特别能战斗的反资方的劳工群体,麦啃鸡也早就看准了这一点。
我个人还是比较站在老师们一边。抛开教师薪酬合同的分歧细节,看看这个Bill 115 的来龙去脉,麦啃鸡政府的做法还是很过分的。政府作为劳资谈判中的一方,一不认真谈判合同,到日子就将合同条款强加于人,二又利用自己的多数党地位,立法禁止别人罢工。是不是违宪说不好,至少欺人太甚。
