唉，真是一个confusing 的早晨！昨天跟单位打好招呼，如果学校关门，今天就work from home；可是到了今早，又弄出个“送学校也行”的可能，让人挠头。

看CBC的报道，多伦多教育局才糟糕呢。昨天说的信誓旦旦，不管Labor board (OLRB)什么ruling都关门，今天早晨却临时变卦了，而且是10分钟之内180度转弯，窘迫之态毕现。相比之下，咱村的OCDSB 昨天拖到8pm才做决定，今天坚持大门不开的既定方针，又开个小门给自己以回旋余地，感觉还是更稳妥成熟一点。

工会的态度是要求老师们现在 comply to the OLRB ruling. 我觉得这也许是现在最合适的态度了。Bill 115 是否 unconstitutional，有待于court decision；在此之前，把会员置于“非法”之境，又有胁迫公众之嫌，从DNA上讲不是这个工会肯干的事。所谓“秀才造反”嘛，教师的身份，毕竟不同于那些传统意义上特别能战斗的反资方的劳工群体，麦啃鸡也早就看准了这一点。

我个人还是比较站在老师们一边。抛开教师薪酬合同的分歧细节，看看这个Bill 115 的来龙去脉，麦啃鸡政府的做法还是很过分的。政府作为劳资谈判中的一方，一不认真谈判合同，到日子就将合同条款强加于人，二又立法禁止别人罢工。既是运动员，又是裁判员，还不允许别人抗议，第三方介入。是不是违宪说不好，至少欺人太甚。

老师纠缠的累积病假，其实都是惯出来的。私营企业病假二三天可以，一周以上就走保险公司short term disability ，没工资，拿保险了。更长时间就long term disability.
