小伙子，是 2008 年春天！准确说是 2008 年 3 月 7 日

08年那场大雪后，立马买了铲雪机，虽然不大，但现在用起来相当的顺手。下班回来后车都上不了自家的drive way，开动机器用了1个半小时才清理完。虽然晚饭没有大包子，也喝了点小酒慰劳一下自己。

说起铲雪的步骤，是推、还是铲，还真有讲究。
上图给出了两把工具：
那把红色的（大的），主要是用于推、和正铲；
而那个铝锹（小的），则是用于侧扬，适用于扬起结实、或湿而沉的雪。一般是先用上面的推铲推送、和汇拢，然后再用铝锹铲扬。

有些人只有第一把工具，那是不充分的。除非只是针对干而轻的雪，量也不大。

有些人还有这个工具：

这个工具，主要适用于运送，一般用不着。如果用它来推铲，则比较费功，事倍功半。

如果家里有小孩子，还应该准备几把很小的雪铲，可以让小孩参与。注意要在不同的区域铲雪，以免碰着孩子。
至于铲雪机，还是等自己80岁以后再用吧。除非家里有几亩地的大庄园。

Anyone who's been forced to shovel their driveways this season has certainly noticed there's a lot of snow on the ground and today Environment Canada meteorologist Etienne Gringoire says Ottawa has hit a new record.

"Currently in Ottawa (we) have 76 cm of snow on the ground as reported at the Ottawa airport and actually it is a daily record and it is a record in terms of we've never had that much snow on the ground that early into the winter season," he said.

错了吧，是从周五晚开始的，到周日早上。 我们周五晚上出门，周日晚上回家，直接停邻居家的driveway上，然后把孩子从snow bank上递进去的。
