Ottawa Police conducts speeding blitz on highway 174

OTTAWA - Today, Ottawa Police Service East Division Traffic Enforcement Officers, along with traffic escort and general patrol officers conducted a speeding blitz on highway 174 in the Orleans area.
As a direct result, officers issued 53 Provincial offence notices (PON) as well as seizing one set of plate and towing a vehicle. The speeding charges ranged from 122kph to 134kph.
"We are reminding drivers to respect posted speed limits," noted Cst. Tom Jellinek, Traffic Enforcement. "Ottawa Police will continue to conduct traffic enforcement initiatives to improve road safety for all Ottawa residents."
