Upcoming lane closures on the Queensway

OTTAWA — Starting this Sunday there will be a number of lane closures on Highway 417 as part of the expansion project that began last May.
While there will be signs in place, and police will be on hand to direct traffic, drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
The lane reductions will occur on the 417 between Parkdale Avenue and Walkley Road and on Highway 174 from Montreal Road and the Highway 417/174 split.
Closures will affect traffic in both directions, though they will occur at non-peak hours. Overnight, there will also be two lanes closed, in each direction, from Parkdale Avenue to the Highway 417/174 split.
In addition to lane reductions, full closure will occur in 15-minute intervals between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. on the following dates and locations:
Monday, Dec. 16 to Saturday, Dec. 21:
Highway 417 in both directions between Parkdale Avenue and Rochester Street
Highway 417 westbound between Walkley Road and the CNR overpass
Highway 174 westbound between Montreal Road and Blair Road
Tuesday, Dec. 17 to Wednesday, Dec. 18:
Highway 417 in both directions between Metcalfe Avenue and the Vanier Parkway.
