OC Transpo
New Year's Day:
- Open: OC Transpo Information Centre, 613-741-4390, open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Closed: OC Transpo customer relations unit and sales and information centres.
- Buses will be running on a Sunday schedule; call 613-560-1000 or text 560560 plus your four-digit bus stop number for automated schedule information.
Parking
All regular City of Ottawa regulations and restrictions apply.
Shopping
New Year's Day: All malls and liquor stores are closed.
Recreation
New Year's Day:
- Open: Rink of Dreams open from noon to 11 p.m.
- Closed: Registered programs at swimming pools, community centres and arenas are cancelled, and all facilities are closed.
Museums
New Year's Day:
- Open: Canadian Museum of Civilization (9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Canada Agriculture and Food Museum (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Canada Aviation and Space Museum (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Canada Science and Technology Museum (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Canadian Museum of Nature (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
Ottawa Public Library
New Year's Day: All branches closed.
Garbage and recycling pick-up
New Year's Day: None (pick-up delayed one day for rest of week).

New Year's Day: All closed, expect SITE mobile van (open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
