Ottawa under frostbite advisory

OTTAWA – Get ready for another week of sub-zero temperatures.

While Environment Canada is calling for plenty of sunshine this week, the temperature will hover between minus 15 and minus 20 degrees Celcius — before the wind chill.

“Just another blast of very cold, arctic air with a north wind,” said 1310 meteorologist Jill Taylor. “Perhaps not as cold as it was with that last polar punch, but we are dealing with below-average temperatures right through to Friday.”

Ottawa Public Health has issued a frostbite advisory starting Monday, Jan. 20 until Friday, Jan 24.

Meantime, a special weather statement calling for heavy snow for the Ottawa area has ended.

Wind chill warning issued for capital region

Environment Canada issued a wind chill warning for much of Southern and Eastern Ontario on Monday morning.

They say an Arctic airmass has settled over part of the province and with the combination of cold temperatures and moderate northwesterly winds, we could experience wind chill values of minus 30 or colder.

The effected areas include:

Ottawa North – Kanata – Orléans
Ottawa South – Richmond – Metcalfe
Gatineau
Gananoque
Mallorytown
Brockville
Prescott
Westport
Charleston Lake
Merrickville-Wolford
Kemptville
Prescott and Russell

这是很普通的冻伤，算什么啊。我的手、脚、耳朵都冻伤过，皮肤最后全部脱落。

我没这么冻伤过，女孩子家从小就应该知道要保护好自己的。

手脚冻伤，那个痛，就别提了。而且这一生你的手脚冬季都是凉的，特容易再次冻伤，须特别注意。

当年没有片机啊。

冻伤的时候，是中学体育老师发现的。他招呼几个同学把我抬回教室，用脸盆装雪，把我的手脚埋在里面，用雪揉我的耳朵，慢慢＂暖和＂过来。否则，恐怕手指、脚指、部分耳朵得坏死。

手脚冻伤，那个痛，就别提了。而且这一生你的手脚冬季都是凉的，特容易再次冻伤，须特别注意。

所以现在村长那身皮毛一年四季都不肯除下来。
