负的消息好，国内都生活在水深火热之中。就是美元不争气，老要人民币涨，使得回去的华人用美元换人民币越换越少。

People in China has started to appreciate Western civilization and have been trying to find a way to adopt that in own culture.

It is due to hard work of many generations for Westerners to create such civilization and that is in essence the source of respect from other peoples.

Some minority Chinese thought they could win same respect simply by being able to speak English and purporting to represent the civilization. In order to do that, they have to build up a wall between Chinese and people in the West. This way, they can use the perceived monopoly to profit. Since they have no other talents, they want to protect this monopoly really hard.

This is why they want to defame as much as possible anything Chinese. They become desperate when more and more Chinese are capable of reading English and learn Western civilization first hand...

I am sure you know all the words. Purporting means claiming to be etc. Sure, it should be more like 'a minority group of Chinese' but I guess 'minority Chinese' won't be mistaken as 'minorities in China'...

There were simply too many self-derogatory postings on this board for sometime and I guess we need different voices...

I guess 'It' here refers to 'for Westeners to ....'. For instance, it is my duty to do .... 'it' here refers to 'to do ...' and the other way to say it is 'To do ... is my duty'...

Incomplete and biased negative news is different from objective and unbiased news. I think you should make the difference here.

Some people read any news from China through a negative lens. That is not normal. You can't blame people to make express objections to such bias.

If you have children, you know that they won't grow normally if people around them constantly pile negative comments on them. For other countries and peoples, responsible media should report news in contexts and from unbiased angles.

It is not the true negative news that people have issues with. It is the biased, incomplete and twisted reporting that people have issues with .
