UOCSA Casino Night

Dear friends,

In order to establish a CSA dragon boat team, there are a lot funding involved. Therefore, we need your support - by participating our greatest event - Casino Night!

The following are some details:

Place: Casino de Hull
Price: $5
Time: Saturday, March 30th, 2002
We will have 3 trips: 5pm - 9:30pm; 5:45pm - 10:15pm; 6:30pm - 11:00pm

The bus will wait for you in front of Lamoureux Building

Tickets will be sold on March 27 & 28 @ Main Cafeteria (2nd floor of UC) in the U of O from 10am to 4pm

The only purpose for this event is fundraising for the dragon boat team, therefore there will not be a member discount and no refund. Thanks a lot for your cooperation and participation!

The tickets are limited to only 150 people due to the limited seats on the Bus! Please come to get your ticket early!

我和朋友去过CASINO DE HULL. 到那儿去,一般人就是输钱,那个破25分的机器吃钱跟喝水四的. 要去,建议你们开车去泥亚加拿的CASINA ROMA. 那里有一种跟机器玩BLACKJACK的,有规律可寻,你们耐心点就能赢钱.

I think most adults should have enough control to not become a gamblaholic just from going to an organized casino trip. Casino trips are a norm for most clubs and organization. Even in highschools, they have 'Casino nights', where they set up a temporary casino at the school. The main point is just to go out have a good time. If you win some $$$, the more power to ya. If you lose a couple of twenty, oh well, that's the going price for a evening on the town anyways.

同意vistor?..

有这么句俗话？“劝嫖不劝赌” 看来我中文不太好，怎没听过呢？
其实我说呢，吃，喝，嫖，赌没一样是可劝的，都不是什么好习惯。但嫖比赌更坏 - 嫖是跟人过不去，赌是跟钱过不去。

CSA为什么要组织Casino Night? 目的很明确，我已说过了是为UOCSA 的龙舟队集资。 什么叫“把你的老乡们往黑道上引”？你自己也说了，“Casino顾客的亚裔比例高于大街上的比例” 难道是我“引”的？我组不组织Casino Night,有些人都是Casino的常客；另有些人呢，只是去吃一顿免费晚餐(Casino give Cash Back)。 大家都是成年人了，都有一定的自制力。我觉得，小赌贻情，无伤大雅。
