回国申请单次还是2次入境签证的问题

想向大家请教一个问题。
回国带宝宝探亲4个月，只入境一次，需要申请半年2次往返签证吗？
听说入境停留时间是3个月，可以是6个月吗？
我记得以前回中国以后都可以呆6个月，只用申请单次签证就可以的，难道现在变了吗？
最近申请过中国签证的朋友有建议吗？ 谢谢

Not very sure about it. I would guess one-time entry should be alright. I applied for multiple-entry visa becuase I need to go back multiple times in a year but each time I just stay for maximum two weeks. Ask Chinese embassy to see whether they can allow you and the baby to stay in China for six months with the one-time entry visa.

Yes, you can stay up to 6 months. You only need a single entry in your case.

I guess if you need to stay longer, you need to report to local Chinese authority. Single entry has nothing to do with how long you are going to stay I guess. Ask this when you apply visa in China embassy.
