Just saw some contractors' contracts not renewed. Haven't seen any real let-go yet. Although this FY's budget were delayed couple of times, it might still be able to be released before April. Anxious to see it!

The scientific research, human resource and regional branches will be hurt hard by this federal government employee cut. About 20% of indeterminate federal employees (68000-70000) will be cut. The employee cut is already going on now but the heavy cut will start during the summer time. As usual, federal budget should be done by the end of February.
