I have an open to above family room similar as yours. I did set the TV cable at left side by builder, so TV is face to window. After I moved in, I found out you can not watch TV at day time when we have sun. I have to reinstall a new cable outlet at right side by myself. It is not hard if your basement is not finished.

You can use wireless. Not a big deal.
