Board approves plan for Kanata schools

on one comments from the ottawa citizens article, that piece of land was owned by ocdsb but "those fools sold that land to others" :)

OCDSB sold the land on Walden drive to the Catholic school board...not the land I mentioned...

Beaver pond subdivision site plan has a proposed school, but God knows when that subdivison can start...

If OCDSB miss this priority chance, then we will wait, maybe another five years, to have a new ES...

then you don't need to wait anymore:) that's a very good strategy.

I think the empty land opposite to All Saints Catholic High is a perfect location for the new school..Does anybody know who owns this piece of land?

I did some research, the above land belongs to Urbandale, currently zoned as commercial...It has been an eyesore for years!!

Why not the school board exchange the land reserved for school in Beaver Pond subdivision (belongs to KNL) with this one, and build the new school here?...

Families on the west of Kanata Avenue (including Kanata Estates, Kizell Pond, Richardson Ridge etc) should be fully aware, if the new school will be built in Minto's Arcadia site along Huntmar, very possibly your kids will go to that school...

Even worse, if the Kanata Avenue instead of Terry Fox will be used as the school boundary, then in the future kids may not have the chance to go to Earl of March...
