别人能听懂就成～～让老外学学中文试试～～过来几年十几年的，不就是从baby长到高中生英语水平吗？能达到高中生的水准，沟通交流写作就没问题了。
上学的时候一个组的同学一起写case，有一个人负责专门整理～～最后一看，人家把我的话基本都改成白话了.....我那文章还在那拽词呢.....
老师也讲到写作简单明了就好，说他以前认识个中国人，沟通是完全没问题的，可是一给他写信他总觉得有歧义....不一定非要多好的词，多高级的语法，语言，说到底是用来交流的～～
要不以后CFCers都用英语发帖吧～～这样孰高孰低也就不难分辨了.....

confirmed with two of my colleagues today, both native canadian, lazycat's use of "what... are you driving?" was correct.
honestly, lazycat's english is better than mine and yours as well, at least overall, although our grammar might be somewhat more accurate than his. proficiency of a language covers quite a few aspects, not grammar only.
