看了新闻我太气愤了,这bus司机什么玩意儿啊?

不对,我不同意你的说法。
那些判刑获罪的,都是因为他们有主观上的问题,而不是不小心,一时失误。

That is called on purpose, not careless.

你上面说的那个日本女子,是她故意留未成年小童在家无人看管。
She did "very well": prepared food and drink her kid like, booked round air ticket just for one and half day leave. She was sent to jail for her careless. If her kid didnot hurt, police would not charge her.

Another case for you and it could happened in one of parents here:
IN Vancouver, one Mom always takes care 3 years kid, one day she had no time and asked her husbank, a IT chinese man, send kid to daycare. This guy got in the car and directly drove to company and leave the kid in the back chair. 2 hours late, a white people heard cry and call 911, police smashed windows, kid was taken to hospital,
The guy was taken to police office. The Winter in Vancouver was -1, the kid was not hurt, but if it is in Ottawa, (-10 - -25).
The Dad did not go to jail (he was luck), but he was involved very long process(ministry of children was involved) almost lost custody of this kid, because the MOM is very nice to kid after police investigation. This man was not 故意 left kid in car, totally just forgot.
If this happened in Ottawa winter, and kid was died? How do you think? Should the DAD go to Jail?
So, using common sense, make a right decision when should holding the kid hand, when should stay in an arm away to avoid the trouble.

Basically if no serious hurt, police would not charge.

In this case If (i wish never happen) the kid get off the bus, walk to the front of the car, hide, or across the road, the driver (or other bus from back, 80km/hour in bus way) hit the kid, who"s responsibility? the driver? the MOM, the kid?

will you let your kid get off the bus hisself or hold his hand next time?

Careless is not 主观,
他还不作为, YES,
in worse case, his fault is: no ability to make a right judgement and right decision, no legal liblity. but if he stop the bus, let people get off, and break the rule, and something happened, the driver has legal libility. ( I am not driver and do not know the rule to deal with emergency, but I am sure there is one and most driver will follow it, if not exist, Bus company problem).

I will not discuss more with you, no time, but thank you.
Just a friendly reminder, hold your kid's hand if you go to the Canada Day fireworks.

No, you are wrong again. Even if the kids did not get hurt, but someone reported her, she would still be charged.

The kid was lucky to be alive, but luck has nothing to do with the father's avoidance of jail time and custody issue. The process worked, they cleared the parents from any responsibility because their investigation found out that it was just an honest mistake. Just one time slip did not make them bad parents, nor did it mean what they did was illegal.

Basically if no serious hurt, police would not charge.
That is not exactly true. While the parents may not be arrested by the police or be charged in the criminal court, they would face legal consequences. You can go ask any lawyer or a child welfare / social service worker.

In this case If (i wish never happen) the kid get off the bus, walk to the front of the car, hide, or across the road, the driver (or other bus from back, 80km/hour in bus way) hit the kid, who"s responsibility? the driver? the MOM, the kid?
It would be at first called an accident, while the police investigate to find out who's responsible. The child would of course not be responsible. Unless there is evidence the mother routinely neglects the child, she would not likely be found responsible. The driver would also be investigated according to the visibility, speed, along with other facts.

I suggest you go read up more on the topic of child welfare, when you have some time in the near future.
