LZ probably has THREE "邻居", one to your left, one to your right, and one opposite.
You have to ask all of them to share what is between your house and their house. I.e. if the fence is between your house and the one opposite to your house, then that neighbor only pays 50 % of the cost of that part of the fence. If none of your neighbor is willing to share to the cost, and you still build it, then you better keep the receipt, especially when you hire some company to build it for you, ask that company to indicate what is the cost to each fence.
If in future, your neighbor also build a fence, and since there is one between you and your neighbor, you neighbor can take advantage of that and skip the part. You can talk to your neighbor, your neighbor has to pay you back 50 % of the cost of that part of fence which is between your house and their house, or build another fence between your house and their house. Since you have paid 100% of the fence between your house and their house, you have 100 % right to PULL down the fence between your house and their house. (Of course you don't want this to happen) This prevents your neighbor from taking advantage of you and not paying their share. Hence, keeping the receipt and find a contractor is important. Also, it is not easy to build fence. You have to make sure the poles must be at least four feet underground, ...
