I also switched out of Bell recently. Investigated freephoneline and believed it's the cheapest choice at this time. However, I don't think their business model will sustain for the long term. As such I went with voip.ms, so far so good.

You are not owner I freephoneline so your concern isn't valid as long as you can port your number to another carrier, why not use the free service until it can't sustain itself and then switch?

收到信我就转freephoneline了，ip电话，正好今天收到email，下周一电话号码就从bell转出来了。
算算bell去年涨2刀，打电话过去送了我24刀，隔没多久bundle优惠又降1刀，我懒得打电话，这明年又涨3刀，我还是走人算了。

请问如何申请？
在它网站上看了一圈，没找到具体申请细节。转到freephoneline如何保留号码？

Each time you port-over a phone number, it's $25 unless the receiving company has a promotion or discount (I paid $10 to port-over Bell number to voip.ms). $25 is enough for several month of usage at voip.ms.

Freephoneline is not free. It's $50 to buy the unlock code plus the number-porting fee. You have to pay it upfront.

If a company goes bankrupt, nobody will be there to handle the number port-out, and you may lose your number forever.

I think any company that promises life-time-xxx is most likely running a ponzi-scheme, using payment from late-comers to satisfy early-comers. Eventually the burden just gets heavier and heavier and push the company into bankrupcy.

Based on my limited phone usage, I need about 2 years of freephoneline service to break even with voip.ms (assuming $50 unlock fee plus 2x number transfers). I'm not confident it's still early enough to join them.

其实我觉得电视的服务真的没必要买，弄个天线，基本那几个台都收得到，而且倍清楚！

这两家和hydro ottawa, enbridge 比起来不算啥。早七点到十一点，晚五点到七点是peak hours, 坑人啊。另一个，二十刀customer fee, 一分钱天燃气不用也收。
