rogers 无线网加强信号的问题

这就跟你去sony store买记忆卡一样，人家压根就不造这个，价格坑爹不说，效果还不一定最好
Why am I paying extra for wifi router if ISP already has one?
Rogers gives me a wifi-enabled router, that suppose to work for the house, but not. I have SMC before, then Cisco, then Hitronic. All three give me shitty wifi strength in the second floor.
I can buy another router for 40-50$, but what's the point?
Points are
1) I paid no model rental fee for modem to Rogers and Bell;
2) I paid more to Rogers than Bell but shitty wifi modem;
3) I don't want to pay extra for something (a router) that should work in the first place;

In terms of reparing cars, you may be an expert. But for the modem/router/ISP stuff, the others guys are way ahead of you.
I agree with them that your WIFI signal issue has nothing to do with ISP. It's the wireless router that matters. Most tech-savvy people don't use the modem-router-combo from ISP, simply because it's not good enough in many ways. At the monent, you are happy because you have not reached the level of serious router usage that the other guys do.
