this off ramp from 417 to woodroffe north is kind of tricky. the merge ramp is short and it's very hard to turn your neck to check the oncoming traffic from woodroffe south. i always wait there for all oncoming cars gone or far enough to give me time to merge into woodroffe. further more, it seems that there's always some policeman right after that 417 off ramp, at the parking lot of that church, aiming a speeding gun at you

all (or most) intersections like that will have a yield sign for the off ramp, and even if there's no yield sign you should still yield to the oncome traffic because you're merging into the main traffic.

but that intersection is a little more difficult for (at least) me to make a proper judgement when to merge, so it's better to wait until safe. for other intersections, i will merge when enough gap opens for me, don't have to wait until clear.
