Position: Support Analyst – Communications Systems
Sector: Private (Telecommunications Services)
Duration: 12 months

Our client is seeking a bright and dedicated Support Analyst to join its Ottawa Telecommunications Services Team. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to leverage your great leadership, business and IT skills by being engaged in large-scale, cross-enterprise training and analyzing new project opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to assess their communication systems needs and make recommendations on how to deliver effective solutions with the lowest risk possible for the Client’s business;
- Work onsite directly with customers to understand their existing Communication System design and process. Assist with all forms of system support, including creative problem solving, analysis and support on their existing set up and user training.
- Conduct formal risk assessments and prioritization for high priority/visibility programs and projects at every gate (covering application portfolios/stacks)
- Work with a variety of technologies including North star, VCM, Cisco Phones, Avaya ( IP Office active)
- Actively participate in IT and Business risk mitigation formulation and tracking, including communication of risk information, training staff on telephones including resetting phones, changing passwords etc.
- Demonstrate personal excellence and technical competence.
- Provide operational guidance and coaching to other QA Analysts and Test Analysts
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Dedicated Technical Support in Communication Systems with excellent technical, analytical and communication skills along with extensive practical experience with several telephones systems.
- Advance knowledge of various software development methodologies
- Install software, modify and repair hardware and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain composure and patience in the face of difficult customer situations.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills to articulate ideas, issues, resolutions and reports
- Resolve customer issues in a clear, courteous and straightforward manner
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to diplomatically diffuse situations, facilitate conflict resolution, and build good relationships
