Statistics Canada: 35-per-cent cut
wow...
怪不得考了个试2年了,连是啥成绩都不知道。。。
tax center的人也都是税务局的人。
The biggest job losses are in Statistics Canada, which is facing a 35-per-cent staff cut, followed by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, one of the largest departments, which is losing about one quarter of its staff — about 5,700 jobs — by 2016. Veterans Affairs is losing about 24 per cent of its staff with programs that support disability death and financial benefits of veterans.
The analysis of job cuts reflect the cumulative impact of the Conservative’s clampdown on spending since 2010, which are still making their way through the system, and a larger proportion than expected are front-line jobs.
From 2006 - 2011, minority government has hired 25 % more employees. Unions just sit and collect 25 % more Union fees.
NDP and Liberal are big fans of BIG government.
There was an incident that a 200 K American IT employee hired a Chinese IT to do his work, he paid 60 K (? I forgot the exact) and can sit and collect 140 K doing nothing. He was praised as the best employee of that company. What a joke.
A lot of North American IT consultants are overpaid (as compare to those in China & India).
Then why hired that many?
One way to survive if you are minority. To compromise.
One example, in 2008, the Government didn't want to give money to save 4 big US car dealers to their pension plan (1 billion Canada or 10 billion, I forgot), but NDP and Liberal forced the government to give those money to those big 4 that has increased government deficit even further, and NDP-Liberal Gangs accused the Government why the deficit is that high (HYÈPOCRITE, huh!).
I looked at fact, not party DISCRIMINATION.
Now, it is majority hence can fix the problem.
If Canadians don't like the current Government, they can exercise their right to elect another government in 2015. Canada is a democratic country (not like ONE Party only totalitarian countries). I am happy I immigrated to this free country.
