hook up natural gas bbq

Bought a natural gas bbq this year. House already has gas pipe installed. I was told I should call enbridge to hook it up by the store. But I called, they said they didn't take care of gas bbq installation. I attached pictures from both end (one from bbq gas cable, one is gas line from house). I have feeling there is some kind of connector missing to connect these 2 ends together. Any idea?

Do they need a contractor to shut off / on the valve every time when they want to BBQ?

A connector is must and better to add a shut valve.
