Question about family class immigration

I sent my application to Mississauga for sponsering my husband to come to Ottawa for a month. I called CIC to ask my case's status, they said could not find my case in computer system. Is this mean my application has been lost? Does anybody know when will they put case in computer? Will they put it in after my case been proceesed or after they received my case? Thanks a lot.
