加拿大倒不是不认中国的医学文凭的。但是只要你不是北美毕业的,都要经过很多考试才能拿到执照。主要还是教育体系不同——这边的医生是要上最少3年本科才 可以申请。然后4年医学院,4年(平均,看什么医生)住院,才能拿执照。出来之后的学位是博士(MD,Medical Doctor)。而国内的医学院是从高中直接考,之后貌似是5年。然后就毕业了,是为本科学位。这学位上面就差着不少,直接认了岂不是很不公平。而且医生 由于关系人命,所以管得也比较严格,不像其他专业对于在国外受教育的比较宽容(比如会计师之类)。还有一个是医师对语言要求非常高,因为要跟病患交流,比 如无障碍,一般留学生根本胜任不了。这些种种限制导致国外受教育的医师很难在这里拿执照行医。
比如我就跑去CPSO(安大略)抄了他们的要求:
To practise medicine in Ontario, whether as family physicians or specialists, International Medical Graduates (IMGs) must hold an Independent Practice certificate of registration issued by the College.
The following are the core requirements for an Independent Practice certificate:
Degree in medicine from an acceptable medical school. An acceptable medical school is one that offers an M.D. or equivalent basic degree in medicine, based upon successful completion of a conventional undergraduate program of education in allopathic medicine, that:
teaches medical principles, knowledge and skills similar to those taught in the undergraduate programs of medical education at accredited medical schools in Canada or the USA;
includes at least 130 weeks of instructions over a minimum of thirty - six months; and
was, at the time of graduation, listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools published by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Part 1 and Part 2 of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE)
Certification, by examination, by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
Completion in Canada of one year of postgraduate training or active medical practice with pertinent clinical experience
