今天小学生report card拿回来了

All E (excellent) in front page but many B in 2nd page.

"The first report card will be coming home soon. Each child is a unique learner and therefore learns and progresses at his/her own rate. When looking at the report card, you will see letter grades and comments for each subject. Although the A,B,C letter grades are used, they are not used like when we adults were in school. If a child receives a B mark, that means they are at the provincial level benchmark. This is where most students should be at this point in the year. I teach to the B level with my assignments and activities. If your child has achieved marks of C, it means that your child is approaching the provincial standard, but needs a little more practice and time to be reach the standard of achievement. Although A level is rare at this point, it indicates that a student is able to consistently demonstrate a deeper level of understanding of the subject without being reminded to."

这么说俺家老二还不错了:) 明天带她去ToysUS买个玩具奖励一下。

Median是多少?

先学习学习,然后再提问。

http://www.purplemath.com/modules/meanmode.htm

Mean, Median, Mode, and Range
Mean, median, and mode are three kinds of "averages". There are many "averages" in statistics, but these are, I think, the three most common, and are certainly the three you are most likely to encounter in your pre-statistics courses, if the topic comes up at all.

The "mean" is the "average" you're used to, where you add up all the numbers and then divide by the number of numbers.

The "median" is the "middle" value in the list of numbers. To find the median, your numbers have to be listed in numerical order, so you may have to rewrite your list first.

The "mode" is the value that occurs most often. If no number is repeated, then there is no mode for the list.

The "range" is just the difference between the largest and smallest values.

55 is mean.
55是对的,在这种特殊情况下就是mean,但是median不等于mean。
so simple concept. if we have 2n numbers sorted, then take the average of the n-th and (n+1)-th numbers.
If we have 2n+1 numbers sorted, then simply take the (n+1)-th number. That's it.
