Police investigating girl’s claim of inappropriate touching

OTTAWA — The Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit is investigating a suspicious incident Tuesday morning in the Chapel Hill area.
A 12 year old girl claimed she was inappropriately touched on her way to her school bus stop near Boyer Rd. at 8:40 a.m. and police are searching for a man in his 60′s.
Constable Marc Soucy of Ottawa police told 1310News the girl was touched in ‘private areas.’
Soucy said the girl made it safely on her school bus and later told school officials of the incident, and they called police.
The girl had seen the man in the past and he had spoken to her before, but this was the first incident.
The suspect is described as a white male in his sixties with white hair.
He was wearing blue jeans, a black coat, brown shoes, a black hat and glasses.
The man spoke English, and was walking a medium sized beige dog at the time.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Ottawa police.

Ottawa Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault after a 12-year-old girl was touched inappropriately while waiting for her bus Tuesday morning.
According to police, the young girl was waiting for the bus at 8:40 a.m. in the Boyer Road/Hunter’s Run Gate area when a man approached her and inappropriately touched her. She quickly ran to get on her bus and the man fled the area. The girl had seen the man on several different occasions and even had spoken to him in the past. Police searched the area, but have yet to locate the suspect.
The man is described as Caucasian, in his 60s with white hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a black coat, brown shoes and a black hat and was seen walking a medium-sized beige dog this morning. He also wore glasses and spoke English.
