"The principle of this reversed osmosis system is that the membrane requires continuous flushing in order to stay effective in filtering the water. For every liter of water produced, it wastes 4 liters down the drain. So while the quality of the water is perfect, it comes at a high price. Especially when you are connected to a septic system, since water is continuously flushed through the drain field. You only figure this out when you start to notice (hear) the continuous flow into the drain when you pay attention to that. As soon as I read more on the internet I tossed out the system and replaced it with a 3-stage filter unit, which produces a good quality of water as well, with no waste and noise like the one Costco offers as an alternative, being the model with the electric pump"

是的，不过不大。
家用RO滤水器用的是自来水系统的压力，所以，制水效率在20%左右。就是说，生成2升纯净水，大概要浪费8升水。但是一个家庭每日所需的饮水数量是很有限的，滤水器过滤后的水只是喝水和做饭，基本上每月的水费上应该感觉不出来，主要用水是洗菜洗碗洗衣洗澡浇草地等。我们这里不是缺水的沙漠地区。有的人家买了洗碗机不用，说是费水，你说可笑不？

我就是用一般的电钻打的孔。
我的经验是分三步：
1）在需要打孔的位置贴上胶布画十字孔心位置（主要是防止金属面太滑钻头打滑）；
2）用一个直径较细的钻头先打一个细孔；
3）按说明书中最终直径的钻头扩孔。
