[转贴] PMP 认证---移民进入企业管理层的敲门砖!

BTW, education is the most profitable business today.
Especially those business certificates. No matter it is useful
or not, as long as it is a certificate, some people will pay a
lot to get it.

I'd say I agree with gdnfrank on the point that when one is at higher level, the knowledge will not be obsolete as quickly as that at a lower level. But on the other side, I'd say it is easier to gain the knowledge at lower level than at higher level.

要知道,我们技术和市场才是创造价值的.

刚刚想起一个非常生动的生活事例.

GUI是谁发明的? Xerox;
MOUSE是谁发明的? 又是Xerox;

但是用这两个技术赚到大钱的人是Bill Gates和Steve Jobs.

Poor Xerox, what a pity.

Xerox从来不缺好的techie, 所缺乏的就是好的PM. Without leadership & vision, technology won't creat value for you, but for your competitors. :buttrock:

The problem is anybody can be project manager.
--Wrong!

China is good at mass production. There is no hope for such a career if the entry level is not high.

--Not sure what you were saying

programmer is another example. No matter what you are going to do, make sure others cannot.Or at least they cannot do it easily.

--No offence, but in many cases, programmers are just labors. They are told of what to do (according to business and system requirements), and how to do it (using the available dev tools within limited budget). Very little design is involved in software development these days.

This is the point! No matter the job is technical or business related.

--No offence, but what is your point? :confused:

okay, programmer is another example of mass production.
don't just be a programmer since most of the guys can do that.
Do something on a higher level that the others cannot.
That is the point.
No offence.The reason I don't think PM is a good job is from
my own experience. Maybe the PM you mentioned here is at a
high level. But to be a manager at a high level, no certificate
can help you. The work experience is more important. And it is
not easy for Chinese to be a PM here even at the entry level.
