数学课一般比较基础普遍。什么专业好就不好说了,建议选适合自己秉性、自己喜欢的才好，否则大学课业比较重，学了自己不喜欢的，再热门将来学习、工作起来也不会开心啊。
There are 5 categories as you register as a special student.
SPECIAL STUDENT共分5类(对中国学生普遍适用的应该是第1和第4类):
1)Personal interest:maximum 6 credit per session.Cumulative total not to exceed 30 credits including this registration.
YOU DO NOT NEED OFFER ANY MATERIALS FOR THIS REGISTRATION.
1)个人兴趣类:每学期最多拿6个学分(基本就是2门课).以该身份注册的学生在OU可以TAKE课累积不超过30学分(当然其间转成REGULAR就无此限制了)
以个人兴趣注册的SPECIAL学生不需要提供任何材料.
2)Professional certification: Give the name of the association from which you are seeking certification.
专业认证类:给出你想取得认证的专业协会名称.
3)Transfer of credits: Enclose a letter of permission or formal written agreement from specify institution.
转学分类:封装的许可信或特定学院提供的正式书面协议.(一般是COLLEGE学生到OU来TAKE几门课的情况)
4)UPGRADING:Hold a Bachelor's Degree from specify institution ( such as a degree got from China )
If you belong to this category, you must take the DEGREE CERTIFICATION with original seal to the faculties and you can register no more than 4 courses in one session.
第二高等教育类:已持有特定机构的学士学位(如已在国内拿过一个学士学位的)
属于这类注册的SPECIAL STUDENT必须持有学校封章并盖章的学历证明到想TAKE课的各系去,一学期最多可以注册4门课程.
5)Gifted student:Enclose a letter of recommendation from specify school.
天才生:特定高中的推荐信
Now,the tuition is 560/course for special student.You must register by fulfilling the form for special student EACH session and get every faculty's approval SEPARATELY if you take some courses from them.
现在它的学费是560/门,(每学期应该还收取一些杂费).必须在每学期开始前夕到想TAKE课的各系去填表申请并分别取得各系的批准.(今秋由于人多,所以各系一般都是等8/27日左右REGULAR学生都注册得差不多了,有空额的课程才允许SPECIAL学生选课,不过一般数学系的课大多名额充裕.)
PS. YOU CAN FIND THE FORM ON OU's WEBSITE.(SPECIAL学生要填的表可在OU网上DOWN下来,预先填好去各系,也可以到各系里现填.)
