How's HE top load washer? Can you recommend a model?

I am looking for a top load washer. Did some search online, many people say it doesn't wash clothes cleanly. I talk to future shop sales person, he said you need to put clothes around the center, not on the center. Do you use top load HE washer? What's the brand? Thanks
