各位说说自己作为新移民抵加后最初几月的生活怎样?

去年二月抵加，花了五个月才找到工作，多次想归国去，在朋友劝说鼓励下坚持下来。难！

I came to Canada in May last year. My friends here found a room for me. It took me four months to find my first job (labour) and another five months to find this job (professional).

Feb 2002 登陆，刚刚有些找到专业工作的可能，每天没有朋友，感到有些寂寞。。

Landed last April.
Settled job down two months before landing.
Relocated by the company.
8 friends living here before my coming.
Living in a furnitured apartment in the first 3 months paid by the company.
Moved to the place I live now.
Just renew the renting for one more year living in the same place.

what professionals do you all have? why are there no any jobs for me?

landing in dec.2000.
looking for job for 4 months, no result.
Then began to apply for school, never looking for job since then.
No idea about job market now.
Just hope it will be better next fall when I get my degree.

说说我自己吧,2001年5月登陆,头三个月边找工作边考了个托福,第四个月作了labour工,然后上了个政府资助的短期培训班,仍在找工作中.
从前是作通信的,因此来到ottawa,却遭遇到通信业的大裁员.不知道前面的路还有多远.

说说我们家的感受吧。我的专业不行，只能我们家那口子找工作。2000年12月落地多伦多，听人说圣诞节，元旦前后不可能找到工作，结果这两个月根本就没想工作的事儿；闲呆着也不行是不？我们家那口子就联系多大想上学。
转眼到了二月，眼看着网上的招人的广告越来越少，我们家那口子也急了，先跑到Jobfair学了半个月如何写简历，然后正式发简历找工作。四月初拿到两个Offer就跑这里来了。我本人在三月卖了一个月的苦力。
