The cooktop has red, black and a bare wires. There are red , black , white and bare copper wires within junction box from basement . I connected red to red , black to back . Should the bare copper wire from cooktop be connected to the white wire? Or bare to bare? I thought bare to bare. Leave white along
From the instruction , just say bare from cooktop to ground. My problem is how to ground. Bare to white or bare to bare .

bare to bare. It is ground wire. White is neutral wire. Your cooktop does not need white because it has no 120V circuit.
