I keep mine under a window with about 3 hours of afternoon sun. It is doing magic. Have you seen the picture in earlier posts
I got my fox glove at Lowe`s (19.99) --- I wanted all 3 colours but no room to put them. So I ended up with the colour I like the most. In the spring, baby fox glove was selling for only 3.99 at WM. Like I said, what makes roses noble is authenticity and purity, so cross-pollination should be avoided if possible. Peony and tree peony are not said to have cross pollenated. It is an art and it took me rather some time too. If you just started, you are a great starter and I am sure you will get increasingly better. I am on to the next level now --- germinating from seeds (I saw one sprout of my soaking water lily seeds last night and need to get seeding beds for them this pm) and propagating woods and vines.
Take her out for full sun will surely speed up blooming but I am afraid of the risk of bringing back home bugs/diseases --- I think I have said that before --- I don't do that except treating them in my "hospital", which was posted earlier.
How many peonies/tree peonies do you have? I would recommend one bed for all of them and only for them --- you can make arrangements the way you like but tree peonies are getting increasing higher as the years wear on whereas peonies stay at more or less the same height all the time, I would suggest centering with tree peonies and surrounding them with peonies. You need to take colours into consideration too for the arrangement. One technicality you have to pay attention to: in transplanting peonies, try to level them at the previous level (there are usually red marks just above the ground) as much as possible. Planting them too deep/not deep enough may cause them not to bloom for up to 5 years depending on the soil because their roots need to get settled and they settle very slowly. Timing of transplant: the earlier the better so that roots have a longer period of the year to settle before being frozen. Do it in the early morning and keep on watering thoroughly for 2-3 weeks.
