it's so hard to find a high-end position that i can get those skills improved/used everyday. (my apologies, no chinese input plugin on my corporate laptop)

and in calgary, IT positions are very related to the oil price, like now, quite a few IT staff laid off in the past few months, so wondering if Ottawa has a similar situation once in a while?

你要想走这方面的发展，Toronto/Ottawa肯定比calgary要强，career wise

要说生活。。。。估计calgary比这里强

建议你还是首选大多地区吧，那除了房价太高以外，各方面都比这里机会多更生机勃勃一些，要想吃一辈子技术饭感觉还是那里好一些毕竟盘子大嘛。渥村自打北电倒了一直在科技方面比较颓一些，除非你想早早去政府熬退休。卡城IT就算了，鼎盛时期工资也比石油工人少一半。。。

这个更具活力是如何体现的？我没在Calgary生活过，只是开车转了一大圈，个人不太喜欢那里。目前为止在多伦多，kingston和渥太华各生活了几年，觉得渥太华最好，城市不大也不小，生活很方便。我个人喜欢比较成熟的社区，对新开发的区域不太有兴趣。
