Ottawa police issue 127 tickets in two-day school zone blitz

Ottawa police issued 127 tickets during a two-day school zone safety blitz this week.

Police traffic section teams, along with school resource officers, were on the lookout for speeding in school zones, failing to stop/yield at school zone at school crossings, failing to obey crossing guards or school bus signs, and distracted driving.

Police continue to remind drivers to be especially alert when driving in school zones.
