一个中国本科生关于卡而顿大学的问题（急迫）

我现在是中科大的学生，准备联系出国，不知道carleton到底怎样，似乎现在排名很差，我是学EE的，准备申请SCE，跟着一个教授做P2P,似乎看起来他对我态度还好，但是carleton到底如何呢？

不是说的卡尔顿的EE还不错吗，但是中国人太多了又不好

Carleton U的Jounalism & Mass communication, 哦，还有，Engineering是不错的，排名很靠前，top 5肯定有了。但如果学其他的，劝你别来了。

学校好不好是学生的素质是一个很重要的因素，
大家不要轻易否定自己。
起码我觉得我还是得认真看书，做练习才能通过期末考，
不是能随随便便的混过去，实际上还真学了点东西。
你可以觉得我笨，没关系，不招人忌是庸才嘛！

Carleton IEEE Student Branch Number 1 in Canada

As of Dec 31, 2002, the Carleton Student Branch of the IEEE had the most members of any student branch in Canada with 360 members. The next closest Canadian Student Branch was the University of Toronto with 334 members. Every year, IEEE headquarters sends out a list of the top 30 student branches in the world. In the world, Carleton ranked as 16th, Toronto as 19th. Carleton's rank was higher than many well known American Universities such as UCLA and MIT. None of the other Canadian Student branches made the top 30 list.

What is your GPA? If it is above 80, you can come. The EE in carleton does not has many chinese as before. no more than 1/3 this year. And your classmates won't be at a low level.
Most of my classmates come form Qinghua, SHJT, As for the students not graduated form
Top 10, they have a extremly high GPA and master degree already in China. As for ranking,
there is no big difference among canadian schools. Actually you are lucky if you can get the offer. Last yaer there are more than 5000 applicants competeing for 100 master and Ph.D
admissions. If you are satified with your professor, don't worry too much about the ranking!
Carleton is very tough in getting good marks on your courses. It is natural that there will
only be 1-2 A+ in your class, sometimes, no A+ at all. It is good university for doing
reserach. BTW, You will be evaluated as how much paper you published, not where you
graduate as a student at graduate level. Your accomplishment is up to you own effort.

不少人的体验说明综合排名很重要。整体排名很低，说个别专业好到那里，实际中很难体现。你得不断跟人解释，我这个学校不怎么样，但我这个专业很好，证据：1，2，3。这很辛苦，也很不好受，关键的是效果可想而知。所以有前人说过，做为外国留学生，读个差学校，前途不妙。当然，这是一般而论，只要自己努力，差学校照样出人才，没上过大学而成就大事者也多得是。同时，如果说我的的条件就适合这样的学校，上总比不上好，经济上也没有问题，则另当别论。

你的问题似乎很难回答，因为不同的人有不同的想法和意见，特别是到了这里以后，心灵上的影响和生活上的影响都会让一些事情变的不是很简单。客观来讲，这里现在中国学生很多，所以你是否还愿意来？2，排名也是看不同的专业而定。另外，就目前的就业形势来讲，IT行业不太好，但谁都说不上再过几年的情况。主观来讲，最主要的还是看你自己了。出国其实也很想围城，所以一定想清楚自己真正想要得，而不是随流。
