Trip in Ottawa

I am planning a two days trip in October for my brother's family (with a 15 months old baby). They will go by themselves since I have to work. Is there anyone who can places that are worth to go? Thanks.

I would suggest them take a cruise on Ottawa River. The view is quite different and much more beautiful comparing with that from the bank. The cruise starts from the Rideau Canal entrance to the Ottawa River which is located east of the Parliment Hill. (18$/adult) Pls refer to my pictures attached.

And the fall colors in Gatineau Park are also magnificent. I would say it's even more wonderful than that in Algonquin Park. So, don't miss the mapple leaves in October.

Since that's the most famous museum in this erea, they may visit, like the others, the Civilization Museum as well.

在附图的红圈圈处，票是随去随买。很多公车都可以到，只要你知道怎么到国会山。其实就在运河进渥太华河的入口，那个有九级水闸的地方。游程大约两小时。白天去都有船，夏天晚上到七点左右。因为上个月带国内来的客户去玩，发现时间安排不错。

以前也在HULL那边坐过下午六点到晚上十点以后的Cruise，包晚餐，天黑以后还可以在船上蹦的，因为跟别的单位去的，不知道多少钱，也记不得在哪儿了，只记得过河向东开出几公里。如果想在河上消磨时间，这种四、五个小时的Cruise也不错。

很乱吧？我还是喜欢两小时的Cruise，短小精悍 ......

是的。在国会山前的Wellington St.路北和运河的交叉口上有广告牌或有人在推销船票,先在那儿问一下下班船几点开.因为图中的红圈处在船开走以后什么痕迹也没有,你会以为没找到,其实在那儿等最多两小时,船就回来了.

沿着对面的Elgin向南走一点儿,在那个大polar bear的铜雕像和几个公共汽车站附近还有Lady Dive站,就是去年出过事儿的水陆两用观光车.如果Cruise的时间不合适，也可以去坐Lady Dive.

再附一张Lady Dive，你就知道那种车长什么样了。
