RR那个地势好，周末去看，都售光了。

别买这类位置的房子，无论是否会进水。

那里应该是低洼处。

It's actually a wrong perception. I checked the topography map of Acadia, and found that it's about 100 meters above sea level. It's actually a bit higher than RR new lots currently for sale. The flood river nearby is indeed "低洼处" at around 85 meters above sea level, but Acadia is higher.

Please go to maps.ottawa.ca. It's extremely, extremely useful for property purchasing.

Select the "Topography" layer so you can see the "Deng Gao Xian" on your map. You will find that Acadia houses are around 100 meters above sea level, much higher than the carp river nearby, AND higher than Terry Fox drive.

You probably will feel standing on a highland if you look towards Terry Fox drive from Uniform`s townhouses in RR, eh?. But in reality they are below 100 meters above sea level.

That`s why I don`t think Acadia will ever get flooded, although its base soil might not be as firm as RR`s rocks.

instead of having a much demanded walk-out basement, this type of houses has an elevated garage (not of much use) and more stairs to the front door (hard for old people and winter time), and probably even smaller basement windows. It's being disadvantaged by the slopes it resides on.
