“I’m just tired of the NDP dragging every province they go into down with them,” Neufeld said.
“When they took power in B.C., they chased all the jobs away. The company I worked for folded and we had to walk into the bank and drop our keys on the bank counter because we couldn’t afford to pay it anymore.”
Recently, he found out Alberta Premier Rachel Notley worked for that same B.C. NDP government as a lawyer. Although this was in the 1990s and she specialized in social issues unrelated to the economy, Neufeld believes she bears some of the blame for what happened to people like him.
“Oh, she’s responsible for it,” he said. “Partially responsible.”
