问题： tankless的热水器，多数人是租下来，还是买下来?

我说实话吧。。你买新的坦克勒死，也含8-10年的瓦润踢。。。说出来你不爱听，加拿大的商人，不是诈骗胜似诈骗，比国内人还差。

有买有租，没那么为什么。好多是惯性使然。卖房子的人by default是租，刚买第一个房子你不和他们较真他们就租给你了，估计他们有回扣，以后由于惯性也就租了。Builder们的东西都是质次价高和出租公司是一伙的。还有上们推销让你租的，也是骗子。这帮人就是想坐地收钱。这个和best buy里卖保修的是一个道理。这个东西没那么容易坏，如果真的容易坏，那么他们才不会租给你呢，肯定让你买了。或者让你付高额租金。

这个没有讲啊，就是近些年Builders盖房子用这个的多起来了，开始是买房子的可以选择，后来有的Builders不让选择，直接上这个了。

而且比较贵，3000多吧！

I have never seen this kind of "rent" in BC. My water tank in BC has no problem for more than 14 years, It was replaced last year. Builder here save the money (your purchase price does not include the water tank, you have to rent from other company. When I purchased house here, I strongly required NOT rent tank, so I paid installation fee and provided equipment (tank), builder installed it.. Normally a tank can work for more than 10 years, a lot saving. also it is very easy, Call home deport to replace it if there is problem after 10 years. As I know, this builder did not let customer choice again after I purchased house. If you can, just buy one, not rent.

按Reliance给的租价，我可以每3年就买一个新的。我的情况是tankless需要从新装管道，改造安装费是2000多刀，所以就继续用tank的了

各种名目罚金（比如取消账户费就要$200），你最好的情况就是tank如果在8年以上旧的，选择buyout。看你的tank是多旧的了，如果已经很旧了(10年），buyout也许只要100刀，买下来赶紧跟Reliance这样的流氓公司拜拜，hot water tank一般都不会出问题，找一个离自己家近的靠谱hvac guy，出什么问题给他打电话就行了，我问过了的价钱，最坏最坏最坏的情况星期日冬天-30度早上紧急上门服务也不过1200刀左右。
