Job Summary



A full-time secondary Accounting Teacher is required by the Capital International Academy in Ottawa. The assignment will be effective February 1st, 2017.Courses to be taught are:

• Accounting Grade 11
  
• Accounting Grade 12

Primary responsibilities

• Be familiar with the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculums for the specified courses.
• Be familiar with the Ministry document Growing Success .
• Plan, prepare and deliver course and lesson plans.
• Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
• Participate in ongoing professional development.
• Establish and communicate learning goals and success criteria for all learning activities.
• Evaluate student performance.
• Tutor students on an individual basis (extra pay).

Minimal qualifications:

• B.A.from a recognized University
• Current vulnerable sector police check
• One year experience teaching in a small size classroom is an asset

Work conditions:

Working hours:3:00pm to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (can vary)
Feb 6st to Jun 30th. 80-110hours total

Salary:
Part- time job,
$2500/course,
Plus bonus (base on experience )
