The City of Ottawa wants to inform residents, motorists, and visitors that special events this weekend will impact traffic on Ottawa roads. Travellers are advised to plan travel routes with the following in mind:
Roads along the parade route will also be closed, between 12:30 and 4 p.m.:
Parking will be limited on roads surrounding the festival between 3:00 p.m. Saturday to 3:00 p.m. Sunday and will be prohibited on the parade route from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.Bank Street will also be closed , between Florence Street and Somerset Street, from 7 a.m. until midnight on Sunday for festivities as part of the Pride Community Fair.

- This weekend, August 26 and 27, Richmond Road will be closed between Golden Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue and between Churchill Avenue and McRae Avenue, for Westboro Fuse. The closures will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday on through to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
- On Saturday, August 26 at 3:30 p.m., the Ottawa REDBLACKS will host the BC Lions at TD Place Stadium. Ticket holders to the game are encouraged to use transit, bike or walk. Parking at and around Lansdowne will be limited. Tickets can be used to ride free on OC Transpo three hours before and up to three hours after the event.
- Canada’s Table, Ottawa 2017’s outdoor culinary experience on Wellington Street will impact traffic in the area around Parliament Hill beginning at 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 26 until Monday, August 28 at 4 a.m. Wellington Street, between O’Connor Street and Elgin Street, Metcalfe Street, between Queen Street and Wellington Street, and O’Connor Street, between Queen Street and Wellington Street. will be closed. Access to the Northern Lights show on Parliament Hill will be available via the north side sidewalk on Wellington Street, which will remain open to pedestrians.
- As part of NOKIA Sunday Bike Days, the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway, Colonel By Drive and Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway will be closed to motorists this Sunday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
- The annual Capital Pride parade will take place on Sunday, August 27, starting at 1:30 p.m. Motorists should expect road closures and lane reductions on the following streets between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.:
- Bank Street, between Catherine Street and Gladstone Avenue – closed in both directions
- Gladstone Avenue, between O’Connor Street and Kent Street – closed in both directions
- O’Connor Street, between Gladstone Avenue and MacLaren Street – reduced to one lane

- Gladstone Avenue, between Lyon Street and Kent Street
- Kent Street, between Gladstone Avenue and Laurier Avenue West
- Laurier Avenue West, between Kent Street and Bank Street
