渥太华的幸运女孩儿(有图片〕

受渥京侨界宠爱的幸运女孩儿-袁元凌

9月29日，由华人联合会举办的庆祝中华人民共和国成立54周年的晚宴上，渥太华9岁女棋童两个全国冠军获得者--袁元凌是当晚最幸运的女孩。她穿着加拿大丰业银行为她特制的运动套装，在大家的热烈掌声中上台，接过了丰业银行副总裁Dennis Jackson先生和华人业务主席黎宝珍女士为她颁发的1000加元支票的赞助金。

她是一个受渥太华侨界宠爱的女孩儿。在丰业银行宣布成为袁元凌赴希腊参加国际象棋世界杯比赛的筹款发起者以来，华人社区和侨界人士纷纷响应，目前已经筹集资金达2500多加元。大额捐助的商家还有，加拿大DC国际交流中心1000加元，九龙超市200加元，以及许多个人和企业的慷慨赞助。还有一些华裔公司正和丰业银行联络商讨为元凌捐助事宜。

10月4日（星期六）下午1点30分开始，元凌将在加拿大丰业银行唐人街的锡玛森分行表演车轮大赛，所有有兴趣者，不论年龄，性别，棋艺程度，均可现场报名参加。这不仅是丰业银行帮助元凌筹募更多的资金，也是元凌答谢各界对她的支持。参议员麦克Ÿ哈伯先生及丰业银行副总裁Dennis Jackson先生已经承诺将在车轮大赛中挑战我们的小元凌。
