Walk and drive with care this Monday morning, folks.

And motorists, leave plenty of time to chip your car out of that block of ice.

But the forecast definitely looks brighter with mainly sunny skies and a high of -4 C before it’s back in the deep-freeze overnight with a low of -21 C.

For Tuesday it’s sunny again but the high of -6 C will feel like a brisk -25, Environment Canada reports.

Today is definitely a day to do the #PenguinWalk.

The sound of freezing rain falling out side does not make me happy. #ottweather #OttWx #ottcity

The classic #Ottawa snow hole has opened up. Snow to the North, freezing rain to the South. This will greatly reduce the snow/rain expected today. #OttWx pic.twitter.com/LRpCoW3HBg
