AN OPEN LETTER TO MR. PRIME MINISTER JUSTIN TRUDEAU

Mr. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau,
As Chinese Canadians, we are very upset by recent well-known HIJAB HOAX. On Jan 12, 2018, an 11-year old Muslim girl claimed her hijab was cut by an Asian man in a neighbourhood where over 90% residents are Chinese Canadians. Later Toronto police determined that “the events described DID NOT happen.” As Prime Minister of Canada, you immediately condemned the “HATE CRIME” before the police had a chance to investigate, and fell silent after the HOAX was revealed. We Chinese Canadian Community, the real victim of the HIJAB HOAX, was completely ignored by you, Mr. Trudeau!
Since Jan 20, 2018, Chinese Canadian Community has had ten demonstrations in seven cities across Canada. We have been demanding and calling on our fellow Canadians:
1. Reinvestigate HIJAB HOAX, release more details and bring back the truth to Canadians.
2. Prime Minister must apologize for his irresponsibly racial prejudice-fuelled comments.
3. All ethnic groups are entitled to equal respect.
However, Mr. Trudeau, not only YOU turned your back on us, but also most of the mainstream media in Canada turned a blind eye to us. When a crowd of 800 Chinese Canadians was marching from Ontario Parliament at Queen’s Park in Toronto on Jan 28, a CBC News truck turned around when they saw the placards held by protesters: “HIJAB HOAX divides Canadians!” “All Canadians are equal!”
Mr. Prime Minister, your pretending not to hear or see our protest will not make us ran away. On Feb 18, 2018, 2-4 PM, Chinese Canadians from coast to coast will be gathering on Parliament Hill, standing up for ourselves and speaking out the truth. Dear fellow Canadians, you are welcome to join US!
Ironically, Mr. Prime Minister, you were coming to GTA to celebrate Chinese New Year with those Liberal politicians and elites when many Canadian veterans were holding “LEFT IN THE COLD” protesting in Ottawa on Feb 15. We have to ask you, Mr. Prime Minister, “Why do you ALWAYS meet with the wrong groups at wrong time? ”
