Ottawa bylaw is encouraging people to enjoy their St. Patrick’s Day celebrations this weekend — just as long as they’re not too loud.

Bylaw tweeted they are “aware of several large house parties” planned for Saturday and are expecting to have more officers patrolling the streets than usual, while working closely with Ottawa police.

According to the city’s noise bylaw, operating musical instruments, radios or stereos that may disturb others is illegal between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. (or 9 a.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday).

To learn more about the noise bylaw, consult the city’s rules here: https://ottawa.ca/en/noise-law-no2017-255.

We are aware of several large house parties planned for #StPatricksDay on Saturday.

We will have extra officers on the road & are working closely with @OttawaPolice

Enjoy St. Paddy's Day, but don't forget to respect your neighbours!
