These following road work projects will impact Ottawa traffic:

  • Dynes Road – Dynes Road will have a temporary lane closure between Morley Boulevard and Prince of Wales Drive from Monday, April 2 to the end of summer 2018. The lane closure is required to perform rehabilitation of watermains, sanitary sewers, storm sewers and roadway reconstruction.

In addition, westbound bicycle traffic will be closed on Dynes Road between Morley Boulevard and Prince of Wales Drive and a safe and accessible pathway for all pedestrians will be maintained around the construction site.

  • Queensway on-ramp at Carling – The on-ramp from the westbound lanes of Carling Avenue leading to the eastbound lanes of the Queensway near the Westgate Shopping Centre is closed. This closure is to allow for the rehabilitation and widening of Highway 417 between Maitland Avenue and Island Park Drive. This ramp will remain closed following construction.

Traffic should follow Kirkwood to Carling to access the existing ramp to Highway 417 eastbound.

Signed detours will be in place to direct motorists around the closures. For more updates on the construction and road work activity across the city, or for information about traffic and travel planning, visit the City’s Traffic Report on ottawa.ca or follow the City’s traffic account on Twitter.
