The bad weather has moved on.

Last night’s wind swung from impressive to scary to dangerous.

There is plenty of evidence around town this morning of last night’s storm but so far there haven’t been any reports of injuries or any major damage.

Well, except for this:

Not sure if this counts as damage or just a joy ride:

Many areas in Ontario and Quebec were slammed by the strong winds and we were lucky to get away with minimal damage.

At least one death is being blamed on the powerful winds in Milton, Ontario when a tree fell on two men.

“They were working on tree servicing, and as they were doing that, the wind picked up and a tree fell on the two individuals,” Staff Sgt. Jeff Foster with Halton regional police said.

Large trees and power lines were down throughout the area. Many were left without electricity.

The wind behind us, there looks to be only sun and smooth seas in our future.

Today’s high is expected to reach 21 C and there should only be a few scattered clouds.

Tonight’s low will be 7 C.

Sunday will be 15 C and a few more clouds are expected. Sunday night could drop to 0 C – the low point of the week.

Monday will again be sunny with a high of 13 C. Tuesday and Wednesday bounce back into the 20s.

Here are a couple more scenes from last night, in case you weren’t down by the water:

It was a dark and stormy night at Britannia Yacht Club. @BYCTweet Hard to believe this is the Ottawa River and not the ocean. #ottweather pic.twitter.com/ciz2cpRzXC
